For the left hand all I used was LA colors grey and then topped it off with glitter (big chunks) then Orly In a Snap. For the right I used Orly Bonder, then Sally Hansen Black out for everything but the thumb which is just my natrual nail with my nail art pens decorating it. I used my glitter nail art pens for the stripes and my yellow nail art pen for the lighting bolt :) Hope you like them :)!

Red Nails with Flowers :)

These nails are very simple, but every girl needs a day where she just has red nails. I did my nails this color to match one of my dresses so I just thought I would show you guys :

I used some red nail polish by OPI...its my fav one so I really should know what it is :) haha next red mani I'll tell you. I also used Orly top&base coat. Then painted the flowers on with white acrylic paint and a detail brush :).

Bumble Bee NAILS :)!

Hey guys! I decided to post all my new nail designs finnallly haha. Heres one that I did last week :

Anyways I used Orly bonder as a basecoat which is LOVELY! It has a rubberized base which makes the polish adhere well. Then I put on two coats of yellow polish from Claires. After that I used LA Colors black for the rest (tips, bee, lines, dots) and topped it off with In A Snap by Orly. I used a toothpick for the dots and a nail art pen for the letters :)! I really like this mani, it reminds me that spring is coming!!!

Hi everyone! For todays post I tried re-attempting water marbling and the result was pretty good! I even made a video for you guys and stupid photobucket wouldn't let me translate it into html because it was too long. So I'm going to try to split it into two videos then post it up later. But for now, here was the result of my water marbling :)!

Just in case I can't get the video up, heres some lovely tips for marbling :

• Always use a tiny container when marbling. If you don't, your polish will migrate everywhere leaving you with very see-through polish to work with.
• Use a petroleum based product around the nail (vaseline, lotion, lip balm ect.) so that when you dip your finger in it will be MUCH easier to clean off.
• Always use NON brand name polish. Don't try OPI ,ESSIE or China Glaze. Try something thats cheap. I say this because number 1 you end up using a lot of polish and number 2 cheap polishes are thin, which is much easier to work with.
• Open all nail polish bottles before you begin. This is crucial because when marbling time is at the essence.
• Have Q-tips and cotton balls ready because you will need them for clean up and in case you mess up.
• Have a trash bag very close to you.
• Have a needle or toothpick to swirl the polish.
• Change the water if it is dirty (this may be 3-6 times )
• ALWAYS use warm water. I say this because it slows down drying time of the polish. Never use cold.
• I would highly recommend LA colors to marble with. That's what I used and it came out good, was easy to work with, and dried slow.

Hi everyone! Happy Valentines Day :)! For this lovely day I decided to marble my nails. They didn't come out as good as I wanted..so I'm taking them off and adding a new post tommorow with another cute design. Sorry girls :(~ I promise I'll have cute ones tommorow :)))!

Hi everyone! The nails I'm going to do today are one of my favorites, corset nails! At first I was really unsure if I could even attempt this, but they did end up coming out really good so I was excited. They aren't very easy, so don't be upset if they don't come out perfect. Believe me when I first did them the result was bad, so I had to start ALL over again which was really upsetting but it was worth it. My final result was great :).


The very first thing I did was put on a basecoat. I used Sally Hansen Nail Quencher.




Then I added two coats of Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Sheer Strawberry. I almost just left them like this. I'm really getting into sheer polish now. I think it looks so cute left alone :).



Now, what I did was use a thin brush to paint the sides of the corset. Now it will look a little funny when you first do it, but believe me you HAVE to do it this way. You take the brush and only paint the sides of your nails. This is crucial. You can't paint too much or you will have to start all over. That's what happened to me. You have to leave enough room so that you can add the strings to the corset or they will come out looking very funny. Just look at this picture and follow it very closely and you'll be great :).



Then, you need to add the string holes. So you can use any color for that, but I liked white :). Take a little sticky note and add about two drops of white polish to it. Don't put too much because if you do, the nail polish will become tacky (dry) and it will be near impossible to work with. Then, take any pointy object ( pencil, pin, orange stick,toothpick) and add dots. I used a toothpick; the kinds that have the circular edge on one side instead of two points. I dip it into the polish and add a generous amount to the toothpick (or whatever you use) and then start dotting. It's easier to do if you practice on the sticky a few times.



Then you add the strings. This is another hard thing to do. You need to have a thin brush for this. It is pretty much impossible otherwise. Even with a thin brush this is not easy. When you have your thin brush you want to take off most of the polish so it looks as if it is almost bare. Then add the lines. I made a little diagram on how to do this :).








Believe me, it takes a long time but in the end it will look really pretty. You can you ANY color for this, these are just the ones I chose. The finished product should look a little something like this :



You can add sparkles or whatever else you would like to add. I finished it off with Sally Hansen Insta Dri Top Coat. Thanks so much for viewing!

Okay so for my SECOND post I will do one of my personal favorites for pedicures...ladybugs! Very Simple, Very Cute.


Again I used my base coat Sally Hansen Nail Quencher. I always start with that and I know it sounds repetitive but believe me it is very important to use one. Then I painted my toes with O'Hare & Nails Look Great! by OPI. I love OPI and I have many polishes from there but they are slightly expensive, however it is worth it the color is great and it lasts a LONG time.



Then what I do is almost do french tips with black nail polish except in reverse. Instead of doing them straight across you want to make almost a smiley face with the polish. What helps me is making an outline before I color the entire thing in. Just make a little outline and then paint it in. Very Simple.



Then, one thats all done you need to make her lady bug wings! This is also very easy. But believe me, for this you will need an art deco nail polish or any polish with a tiny brush. You can find them VERY CHEAP at Attitudez ( the price is 2 polishes for three dollars; crazy right!?) which is located right next to Friendly's in North Dartmouth. For those who arent from Dartmouth you can get them online OR at Forever 21. They sell the same brand for $1.85. So back to the design; all you do is sweep your brush from top to bottom creating little wings for you lady buggie :)!





Now all you do is add dots; three of them on each side of the wing . Use a toothpick, its the best thing. Also for her little eyes add two white dots :)!




Then you have your little buggies :)!

*** This can used on your finger nails too! I just love them for your toes, especially in the summer !

Hi everyone sorry its been soooo long! I've had tons of things to do and my nails have been the same for awhile. So today I'm going to do three new posts! The first one I'm doing is my sisters nails which are very short and a little messy. It was late at night -so I was rushing-and I was trying to do a nail design that was made for long nails on short nails which was also very hard. Also, sorry for the poor quality photos! My camera ran out of batteries so I had to use my old one and I have no idea how to take the flash off. Anyways my last post will be the best but anyways lets start.

First, always start with your base coat- mines Sally Hansen Nail Quencher. After that I added two coats of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Black Out nail polish. (haha again sorry for the mess, she has tiny nailbeds :)




After that, I painted on the french tips which I used LA colors hot pink. All I did was free hand it but for short nails I seriously would consider using tape.




Then I added dots with the black nail polish. I used a toothpick :)


tsk tsk- there so messy. but next pic there much cleaner :)


Anyways next I added leopard prints with the same pink. I also added a silver line with LA colors silver/glitter.




I then sealed it with not one but two top coats. First I used Orly Shine on Crazy Diamond which is AMAZING. I love it. Then I used my other amazing top coat that dries in thirty seconds Sally Hansen Insta Dri.


So thats a good tutorial for short nails...kinda messy but its fine :). Thanks So Much for reading :)!

Hi everyone! This is my first post on blogger ever! So anyways, my plan for this blog is to teach cute nail designs that cost very little. A few weeks ago I decided to buy 72 bottles of nail polish, so now I have to use them all. This picture is all the bottles I bought. If you're interested, they cost $42 and the shipping is free.



They are pretty good quality for the price (58 cents a bottle!!!) so I highly recommend them to anyone who needs some new nail polish! For my first lesson, I will teach you how to do a VERY simple french manicure, with a little twist. Here are the products I used:



The very first thing I did was just to remove all of my nail polish and wash my hands thoroughly. That will remove all oils from your hands so you'll have a better manicure. Then apply a base coat. *** This is very important to do because if you continuously not use a base coat your nails will turn yellow** It is also important because it prolongs the manicure. I use Sally Hansen Nail Quencher (it's a blue bottle :)



After you apply that, I then use two coats of a sheer pink on ALL of my french manicures. The one I used today was Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Sheer Strawberry.



After that I apply the tips. I didn't post any pictures of me actually painting the tips, however I wasn't sure if anyone would need to know how to. I just free lance it; to me its very simple. However many people use little strips to help them with their manicure. After I applied all of the colors of tips, I just added a little silver line underneath them. **Sometimes, if I mess up the tips, the silver line helps to hide it. It works lovely and it looks soo pretty so I highly suggest it :)



Next is the dots. This is VERY easy to do. Many people use something called a dotting tool, however it is not needed. They are sold on eBay for not too much money, but how I do it is just the same. All I use is a toothpick and some white nail polish. I use Sally Hansen Hard As Nails White Tip for the dots. Just dip the toothpick in the polish and practice on a sticky note a few times and you should be fine :)



Now when your finished with that, just put on a top coat. I HIGHLY advise you to use a top coat- it prevents chipping and gives your nails a salon shine. I use Sally Hansen Insta-Dry. Its a red bottle and it dries ANY nail color in 30 seconds and when I say that I'm not joking. It works like magic :)
